Hotpatching is cleaner, more precise and independent of the installed BIOS version since it only addresses specific areas of ACPI tables which need patching.So instead of replacing the whole system DSDT by a patched one during boot, only things which need fixing are addressed and patched-in on the fly (hence the term 'hot-patching') – just like it is supposed to be done nowadays. Everything is patched live using binary renames and ACPI Hotpatches (SSDTs). This means, it doesn't use a patched DSDT. The config contained in this repo is DSDT-less.
